"Pen and Paper Hour" with Shan featuring Jacques Durand Jr.

TheFIGURE presents "Pen And Paper Hour" with Shan featuring Jacques Durand Jr

Dominique

They say  silence can be the loudest pain,
The things unsaid can bring the hardest rain, to her eyes. Tears on my pillow of the times I used to whip her hair back and forth like will-O

Memories of old skool days
We'd argue fuss kid n play
You know, that summer love
That I'd hug you so tight around so them Mosquitos won't dare get a taste of your blood,
That dang my body hurts from work but I'll go ahead and give your painless feet a rub type love,
That mental love,
That gentle love,
That A game love
That too young to know your G-Spot,
But old enough to know your name will always have a spot in my heart type love.

So how'd we make it from then
To these present day pains,
Where you stand mad at me
because you crashed our love boat
And left me to blame,
How'd we make it from then to now?
Where in an empty room you can pass by me
Without a single emotion of the Love that used to be.

I guess people change,
Or eventually they'll show you
The person deep within that remained.
So I'll no longer address you as babe,
Love bug, baby Or anything derogatory that my homies would have sang,
I'll address you as your middle name,
Cause that's where you stood all along.
