You’re back! Ready and raring to go for another edition of 3-Way Fashion? Sure, your mom may have thought it was a pornographic article, but you just remind her that this is an informative piece on personal style. My intentions are good, I swear. Anyway, you know the drill: the overall goal of this feature is to show you how to wear an item that you probably have in your closet multiple ways for multiple occasions. In total, you will see three looks, many of which contain less than five individual pieces of clothing. In addition, you’ll never see a product costing above the $100 mark.
Today’s post focuses on the naughty little minx that is the black transparent top. Please, for goodness sake, wear dark undergarments with this one.
- Sheer button-down blouse by EightSixty, $53
Look #1:
- Striped shorts (Aubin & Wills, $80)
- Boat shoes (Sperry Top-Sider, $70)
- Eye-catching bib necklace (Topshop, $30)
Look #2: Looking for a work-appropriate way to wear your sheer button-down? Add a printed pencil skirt and suede wedge heels. Be sure to wear a black camisole underneath, though, because I’m not so sure that your boss will be fond of looking at your pink-and-white polka dot bra all day.
- Animal-print pencil skirt (Calvin Klein, $59)
- Ankle strap wedges (Envy Footwear, $89)
Look #3: This look is not for the faint of heart, but it is a great way to incorporate a summer trend into your wardrobe – neon. I know, it’s bright, but neon is super fun. Tone it down with that sheer blouse and add a few more dark, neutral pieces. Keep jewelry low-key; stick with stud earrings and a simple pendant necklace.
- Neon camisole (Splendid, $32)
- Gray moto boots (Aldo, $85)
- Skinny black pants (Cheap Monday, $90)
